Creating Your Law Firm's Brand

Your law firm's brand is more than simply a logo.  Your firm's brand encompasses the value proposition under which your firm delivers services to clients.  It consists of the promises your firm makes to clients, the pricing level under which services are provided.

In order to be effective, your law firm's brand must resonate with the prospective clients your firm wishes to serve.  If your firm primarily represents individuals who may have been injured or otherwise seek help for personal matters, a brand that appeals to corporate clientele is unlikely to reach your prospective clients.  Similarly, a brand developed around providing low-priced or discounted legal services may not sit well with major corporate clients.

Translating Your Brand into an Effective Website that Resonates with Prospective Clients

Once your brand has been developed, it must be integrated into your firm's one source of continuous marketing - it's website.  The website must convey the brand to prospective clients so that they clearly understand how your firm delivers services to clients.  Simply listing the credentials of your law firm's attorneys and describing your firm's practice areas is not enough.  The website itself must be centered around CLIENTS, not your firm.

Your website should address the primary question that all clients have - what are you going to do for me?  It should not be focused on the credentials of your firm's attorneys.

A properly developed brand will allow your firm to stand out in the minds of prospective clients.  To create such a brand, your firm should avoid the same images, slogans, and promises used by your competitors, and instead focus on what's in it for your clients.
